About Fia...

Fia is a certified speech-language pathologist and mindfulness instructor, with private practices in both Miami and New York. A native New Yorker, Fia now lives in Miami with her family. After graduating from The Hewitt School in New York City, she received her Bachelors degree from Boston College, and her Masters degree from Hunter College as an Emma Allen scholar in Communication Disorders and Speech-Language Pathology. After years of working in the pediatric field, Fia opened her private speech practice in NY, and now lives and works in Miami. Fia works with children of all ages, from 15 months to young adults, with diverse communication delays and disorders.

Fia loves what she does, and she brings the same level of compassion, patience, and dedication to her students that she brings to her own family. Through many years of her own personal yoga and meditation practice, Fia naturally began incorporating mindfulness activities into her speech sessions. Fia witnessed the significant benefits that breathing techniques and mindfulness-based approaches had on her clients, and she continued to infuse more mindfulness activities into her work. Thus, Kindfully with Fia was born! From years of experience, Fia understands that all parents want their kids to feel empowered, face challenges head on, experience joy in happy moments, and be compassionate, kind, and “mindful” individuals. Fia’s program helps children and parents work together to achieve these goals.
